The Vicariate of Kuwait is now the Apostolic Vicariate of Northern Arabia which includes Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar and Saudi Arabia. The decree from the Holy See came into effect on May 31, 2011.
Fr. Ivan was then sent to Rome for higher studies. He studied missiology at the Urbano University for three years. After his studies, he served as the Director of St. Anthony's Institute of Higher Studies and the “Tec Vithanika” Technical Training Centre (2005-2013). During these years, he also served as the youth director of the diocese for 3 years (2005-2008).
Father Ivan joined the Apostolic Vicariate of Northern Arabia on 4th April, 2013 and has been assigned to the Holy Family Cathedral Parish in Kuwait City.
