PARISH ANNOUNCEMENTS: Week Starting April 26

1. The Rosa Mystica 1000 Hail Marys will be held on Friday, April 26th, at 2:45 pm to 7:45 pm in the St. Padre Pio Hall.

2. The NEOCATECHUMENAL WAY Talks for Adults and Youths will start on April 29th, every Monday and Wednesday at 7:30 pm in the St. Padre Pio Hall. All those who are 12 years old and above are invited to attend.

3. On May 1st, Wednesday, the Memorial of St Joseph the Worker, the Konkani Mass at 6:00 pm will be at the Grotto. The English Mass in the Church at 6:30 pm will be followed by the Perpetual Succour Novena.

4. The English Holy Hour will be on the First Friday, 3rd May, from 4:45 pm to 5:45 pm.

5. As the priestly ordination anniversary of Fr Nelson will be on Saturday, 4th May, please say a prayer for him.

6. All are kindly requested to gain the Jubilee Plenary Indulgence of St. Arethas during this Particular Year. The Relic of St. Arethas is placed in front of his big portrait. It will remain there till the end of this month. The last day of the Plenary Indulgence is on October 23rd, 2024.

PARISH ANNOUNCEMENTS: Week Starting April 26

1. Today is the Fifth Sunday of Easter. Jesus is the Vine and we are branches connected and drawing our spiritual nourishment from him. May we always remain connected to Jesus all our lives.

2. Let us invoke God’s Blessings on the children of our parish who will be receiving Jesus sacramentally for the first time in Holy Communion on Friday 10th May, 2024. We also pray for their families. Let us keep these children and their families in our prayers. We thank all our catechism teachers who have prepared our children for this Sacrament. Kindly note that Friday May 10th the 8:00 am Mass is scheduled at 7:00 am and the 10:00 am Mass is reserved for the reception of the Sacrament at 9:00 am.

3. The children receiving First Holy Communion will make their First Confession on Tuesday 07th May. Hence the 6:30pm Mass will be held in the Church courtyard.

4. Registrations for new admissions for Catechism Classes 2024-25 have started. Kindly fill and submit the online registration form available in the Forms tab under Faith Formation section at www.salmiyachurch.com. Parents whose children are not yet attending Catechism classes are warmly encouraged to enroll your child for Catechism. The Catechism classes will recommence in September 2024.

5. The Catechism Ministry requires new catechists to teach Catechism for the next Catechetical Year 2024-25 beginning in September 2024. We invite parishioners to join our Catechism Ministry. If you are considering being a catechist, kindly fill and submit the online application available in the Forms tab under the Faith Formation section at www.salmiyachurch.com.

6. May 1st is the Memoria of St. Joseph the Worker. We pray for all our parishioners who work hard to support their families. We also pray for the Ushers of our parish and their families for their service to our parish as they celebrate Ushers Day on May 1st.

7. May 03rd is the First Friday of the Month. The Holy Hour will be at 6:00 pm followed by Mass at 7:05 pm.

8. The Parish Pastoral Council will meet on Monday 06th May 2024 after the evening Mass in the Courtyard. All members are expected to attend.

9. THE PRE-BAPTISMAL SEMINAR for the month of May will be held on Wednesday 15th May 2024 for Parents and Godparents from 7:00pm – 9:00pm in Room No. 14. Kindly contact the Parish Office for further details. The Seminar can also be attended before the birth of your child.

10. The month of May is specially dedicated to Devotion to our Blessed Mother. All families are invited to pray the Rosary daily in your homes. Graces and blessings will flow through the intercession of our Blessed Mother.

PARISH ANNOUNCEMENTS: Week Starting April 26

1. This is the jubilee year of St. Aretha’s. All are encouraged to gain JUBILEE PLENARY INDULGENCE during this year.

2. The Holy Communion and confirmation of the Latin Rite in our parish is on May 3, Friday at 9.30 a.m. in the 3rd basement. Bishop Aldo Berardi OSST will be the main celebrant. There will be only one English holy mass on May 3, Friday and it will be in the 3rd basement.

3. The solemn Holy Communion and confirmation of the Syro Malabar Community is on May 4th Saturday at 7.30 am in Holy Family Cathedral. Rt. Rev. Dr. Paul Alappatt of Ramnathpuram diocese is the main celebrant.

4. The memoria of st. Joseph the worker is on May 1.

5. There will be Holy Hour in Malayalam on May 2, the first Thursday of the month by St. Paul’s prayer group.
