Fr Nelson Lobo was born in Goa, India. He hails from Santo Estevam parish in Tiswadi, North Goa. He did his primary schooling in his village school St. Theresa and than joined St. Anthony School, Monte de Guirim, Mapusa run by the Capuchins.

He joined the Capuchin order soon after completing his standard X at Padre Pio, Modi Navelim in Salcette, South Goa.

He made his final profession on 13th May 2002 and was ordained on 4th May 2004 in his own parish at Santo Estevam.

2004-2005 Completed his Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) degree with distinction, topping the college.

2005-2008 Apponinted and served as full time Boarding Director and school teacher at St. Anthony School his alma mater.

2009-2010- Appointed as the assistant parish priest in Varca, Goa at Our Lady of Gloria Church.

2010-2013- Passed his licentiate studies in Moral Theology with Summa Cum Laude in Rome.

2014-2017- Elected as the Vicar-Provincial of St. Anthony Province, Goa. He was also the superior at Padre Pio Friary Modi, Navelim, Goa.

2017-2019- Served as spiritual director, confessor and preacher at Shanti Niwas, Cuncolim, Goa

2019-2020- Served at Our Lady of the Angels Friary, Kallem, Sanguem in South Goa.

2020-2022- Appointed as promoter of Padre Pio devotion at Padre Pio Chapel, Modi, Navelim.

2022-2023- Appointed as the assistant parish priest and spiritual director for the Konkani speaking community at Our Lady of the Rosary Church, Doha Qatar.

2023- Fr. Nelson has been currently appointed and serves as full time director of Catechism, faith formation and bible Studies in AVONA based at Kuwait in the Holy Family Co-cathedral.
